Equipment and setup
One kettlebell with a dry, unobstructed handle and enough clearance to move it safely.
The written setup and steps on this page are tailored to this exact exercise variation.
Movement sequence
- Begin on your back with the kettlebell locked out over one shoulder, the same-side knee bent, and the opposite arm long on the floor.
- Move through the elbow, hand, high-bridge, leg-sweep, and half-kneeling positions while keeping your eyes on the bell until the kneeling phase.
- Stand under control, then reverse every position slowly to return the bell safely to the floor.
Form cues
- Keep the bell stacked
- Pause at each position
- Reverse the same path
Common mistakes
- Rushing transitions
- Letting the loaded wrist bend or the shoulder lose position
Scale it
Easier: Practice the sequence without load or balance a light object on the fist.
Harder: Add load only after every transition and the full reverse sequence are consistent.
